Site Operations Director

The quarry manager is responsible for leading operations at a 24/7 site in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne, VIC.
This is an opportunity to lead people and contribute to the site's overall performance.
Main Responsibilities- Safety: Prioritise safety above all else, ensuring compliance with environmental obligations and relevant safety systems.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee day-to-day operations, provide expert knowledge, and develop strategic plans including sales strategies and targets.
- Team Management: Lead a team of approximately 50 reports, build relationships with stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and community groups.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the quarrying development plan for long-term sustainability.
We seek a candidate with at least eight years of experience in quarry management or operations, with demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role.
- A current and valid driver license.
- A tertiary qualification in mining/civil/geology or similar discipline.
- A state-applicable quarry manager license.
- A strong understanding of OHS statutory legislation.
- High-level interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
