Job Role

A Kitchen Operations Manager is responsible for coordinating food preparation in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.

  • Direct kitchen staff and address operational issues to ensure seamless food production.
  • Source required ingredients and equipment daily to satisfy the production plan, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide strategic leadership and on-the-job training to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Oversee and supervise food production, packing & tray-set activities, adhering to recipe specifications and quality standards.
  • Prepare complex meals or dishes to specifications provided, demonstrating culinary expertise and creativity.
  • Monitor and ensure KPI compliance across the business, including recipe specifications and food costs.
Key Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in a similar role, with at least 2 years' experience in a high-volume food production environment.
  • Trade qualified Chef with advanced knowledge of HACCP / QSAI / Food Safety and OHS principles.
  • Prior experience working in a team environment with demonstrated leadership skills, prior experience in a HALAL working environment, and good financial understanding and cost consciousness.
