Job Description:

As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring timely and accurate execution of orders for events and venues. You will supervise a team of chefs to produce high-quality food according to standardised recipes and production systems, maintaining food safety compliance and quality control.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the preparation, cooking, packing, and quality control of all kitchen production
  • Oversight of the accurate, consistent preparation, presentation, and portioning of dishes in accordance with standardised recipes
  • Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff in daily production and safe work practices
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen leadership and other departments
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and at least 4 years' experience in a 5-star hotel, large-scale restaurant or catering company. You must be passionate about producing quality dishes, driven to achieve the highest standards in an efficient manner, and able to effectively manage and motivate a team of chefs.
