Job Title: HSIE Teacher

A temporary full-time position is available at Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Oak Flats, commencing 31 January 2025 until 19 December 2025. The successful applicant will be required to teach HSIE - Business Studies and Commerce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach HSIE - Business Studies and Commerce to students.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching and learning in HSIE - Business Studies and Commerce.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Engage professionally with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
Essential Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in HSIE - Business Studies and Commerce.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
General Capabilities:
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications:
  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
Working with Children Clearance:

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with CEDoW.
