Job Title: HSIE Teacher - History and Geography Educator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated HSIE Teacher to join our team at Corpus Christi Catholic High School, Oak Flats. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching History and Geography to students in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in History and Geography to students of varying abilities.
  • Develop and implement assessment strategies to measure student learning and progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum programs that meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) mission and values.
  • Hold a strong commitment to the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).
  • Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Have a strong understanding of the diverse needs of students and be able to support their full participation in learning.
  • Be able to plan and implement effective teaching and learning strategies in History and Geography.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Hold a Level B Accreditation in accordance with the To Work, Teach and Lead policy.
  • Be registered to teach with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

Working with Children Clearance:

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with CEDoW.
