Huntington's Disease Clinician Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced clinician to join our team in delivering specialized case management and clinical support to individuals and families affected by Huntington's Disease. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with medical professionals, allied health, and community services to provide integrated, evidence-based care.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those navigating a complex neurodegenerative condition. You will be responsible for coordinating care across community, inpatient, and outpatient settings, providing education and therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with health professionals and support services to ensure holistic, person-centred care.

To succeed in this role, you will require current knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and practices in mental health services and/or Huntington's Disease Services. You will also need to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the psychosocial and health needs of patients/clients and their families/carers, as well as the ability to apply nursing practice in the mental health services and/or Huntington's Disease Service setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized case management and clinical support to individuals and families impacted by Huntington's Disease;
  • Coordinate care across community, inpatient, and outpatient settings;
  • Provide education and therapeutic interventions;
  • Collaborate with health professionals and support services to ensure holistic, person-centred care;
Requirements:
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse;
  • Current driver's licence (desirable);
  • Postgraduate experience in mental health in relation to OPMHS and/or other Mental Health Services and/or Huntington's Disease (desirable).
Benefits:
