Field Service Engineer

Role Overview
The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for government contracts related to avionics systems, radio communications, and other defence-related equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for avionics systems, radio communications, and other defence-related equipment.
- Support testing activities within the programme as required.
- Collaborate with the Technical and System Engineering Teams to establish testing/V&V priorities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and providing solutions.
- Manage and coordinate project activities, including equipment installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and customer personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities and provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders.
Requirements
- A comprehensive background in avionics, radio communications, and technical support.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in field service engineering, preferably in the defence industry.
- Thorough knowledge of avionics systems, radio communications, and related technologies.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
