About the Role

This key position offers a chance to work independently, with minimal supervision, and utilize your expertise in preparing and presenting authentic Mexican dishes with consistency and flair. You will be responsible for supporting the smooth running of your section, maintaining high food quality standards, and monitoring food quality, wastage, and compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and present delicious, vibrant Mexican dishes that meet our high standards
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service delivery and maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Monitor and minimize food wastage, ensuring adherence to food safety protocols and regulations
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence
  • Promote a positive work environment, fostering open communication and respect among team members
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Mexican cuisine, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting
  • Qualifications: minimum Cert IV in Commercial Cookery, Food Safety Hygiene certification, and familiarity with WHS legislation
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results
