Support Worker

Cultura is seeking a Support Worker - Aged and Disability to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to clients who live in their own homes. You will act at all times to protect the rights of clients, including confidentiality, privacy, individual choice and decision making, and support their wellbeing, lifestyle and independence by providing appropriate assistance with personal care in accordance with individual care plans.
About You- You will establish meaningful relationships with clients, engage in communication with them and their families to provide client choice where possible, within the scope of your role;
- You will provide home care including general housekeeping, domestic assistance, personal hygiene activities and tasks, respite and personal care;
- You will support clients in the use of aids and personal equipment including walking or standing frames, wheelchairs, etc;
- You will support clients with complex and/or challenging needs;
- You will provide social support and transport services, where required;
- You will assist with exercises, physiotherapy and other allied health treatment plans;
- You will liaise with Wellbeing Coordinators and report any observations or concerns regarding the client's health, safety and wellbeing appropriately and in a timely manner;
- You will participate in regular team meetings and training when required;
- You will hold a Certificate 3 in Individual Support, Aged Care or Disability Services, or working towards one;
- You will have a First Aid and CPR Certificate;
- You will have a current Australian driver's licence.
