Behaviour Support Practitioner Role

We are seeking Behaviour Support Practitioners who can provide assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding.

  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies, utilising positive behaviour support framework
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges

You will work in diverse settings, from homes and schools to playgrounds, workplaces, and community centres. Our team is dedicated to changing the game for people with disabilities.

About The Position

This role involves providing life-changing therapy to NDIS participants. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing assessments and interventions to support participants in achieving their goals
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans that utilise function-based strategies
  • Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to address complex behavioural challenges

You will have the opportunity to tap into the knowledge and support of your Team Leader and dedicated Therapy Mentor.

Requirements

To be successful as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification such as an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker, or Mental Health Nurse
  • Registration such as an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker, or Mental Health Nurse
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
