Railway Operations Specialist

We are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our team in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and regional NSW. As a rapidly growing company, we undertake significant railway and transport infrastructure upgrade maintenance and projects throughout these regions.
The successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus the ability to work in a team environment while meeting both safety and delivery targets. Our aim is to create a workplace where people are respected and encouraged to fulfill their potential.
We are currently recruiting for:
- Resurfacing / Tamping / Regulator Machine Operator and Trainee
- Machine Operators (Excavator / FEL / Hi-Rail)
Key Requirements
- Background in Railway works, maintenance and renewals
- Current Driver's Licence
- Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW)
- Current track safety awareness
- Pass a CAT 3 Medical
Work Arrangements
- Ability to work in physically demanding, high-performance Rail Teams
- May require working away from home at times
- Will be required to work weekends/nightshifts when necessary
- Must follow Laing O'Rourke Next Gear Safety Principles
- Undertake additional training as and when required
Preferred Tickets
Current tickets such as Front-End Loader, Roller, Excavator, Tamper / Regulator Operator will be considered favourably for all positions.
