**Job Title:** Production Team Leader

**Job Summary:

This is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facility and supporting production shifts at our Maldon site.

We are seeking an experienced leader to manage our site services, including waste management, road maintenance, and contractor liaison.

The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the safe performance of their team, coordinating work schedules, and managing resources effectively.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage site services in an environmentally responsible manner;
  • Contractor management support the facility;
  • Work in conjunction with the production and engineering teams to support daily operations;
  • Ensure teams have the skills, training and resources to do their job effectively;
  • Manage workforce planning and employee rosters for the team;
  • Responsible for injury management and liaison;
  • Responsible for authority to work plant controller and relevant high risk permits;
  • Responsible for quotation and control of relevant costs.

**Requirements:**

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure the ongoing success of your team;
  • Proven experience in cement plant operations would be advantageous;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills obtained via formal training and/or vocational development;
  • Ability to lead team meetings and compile communications;
  • Advanced experience in all aspects of operations sufficient to enable you to act as a representative of management after hours;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance databases and purchasing systems.
