At the Australian Open, we are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Player Services Team as a Player Services Assistant. This fixed-term contract opportunity will run until January 2025.

Working closely with our team, you will provide comprehensive support for player services, including administrative tasks, visa management, accommodation arrangements, and other player needs. Your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure a high level of professional service for our players.

The successful candidate will possess excellent time-management skills, be able to prioritize tasks effectively, and exercise sound judgment in complex decision-making situations. Proficiency in databases and Microsoft suite is essential, as well as experience in events, event management, sports administration, or similar roles.

As a key member of our team, you will also assist in planning, designing, and setting up player areas at the AO. You will collaborate with various departments and external suppliers to deliver timely updates and promote player activations and championship celebrations.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations
  • Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency in databases and Microsoft suite
  • Proven experience in events, event management, sports administration, or similar roles
  • Current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Flexibility in working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
