
Family Law Specialists – Trauma-Informed Advocacy for Aboriginal Communities

Our purpose-driven career empowers Aboriginal communities, fostering culturally safe and trauma-informed legal services. You will provide culturally appropriate legal advice and representation to Aboriginal victim-survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence.
About the Role- Represent clients in Domestic Violence Orders and Victims of Crime Compensation matters (occasional Family Law & Child Protection)
- Collaborate with Client Service Officers to deliver wrap-around support, ensuring comprehensive care for our clients
- Build strong relationships with communities and stakeholders, promoting trust and respect
- Travel to remote communities for outreach and education, expanding access to justice
- Eligibility for an NT legal practising certificate (restricted/unrestricted)
- At least 1 year post-admission experience (desirable), demonstrating a commitment to your profession
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and DFSV issues, enabling you to provide sensitive and effective support
- Strong communication skills and flexibility to travel, adapting to diverse situations and environments
- C Class Driver's Licence, Working with Children Clearance, and a clear Criminal History Check, meeting essential requirements
