Job Overview

This role involves providing culturally appropriate legal advice and representation to Aboriginal victim-survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Representing clients in Domestic Violence Orders and Victims of Crime Compensation matters (occasional Family Law & Child Protection)
  • Working closely with Client Service Officers to deliver wrap-around support
  • Building strong relationships with communities and stakeholders
  • Travelling to remote communities for outreach and education

Key qualifications include eligibility for an NT legal practising certificate (restricted/unrestricted), at least 1 year post-admission experience, understanding of trauma-informed practice and DFSV issues, strong communication skills, and flexibility to travel.
