Women's Rights Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team in Australia.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of women affected by domestic violence, providing high-quality support and representation in civil law matters, representing clients in courts and tribunals, and working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver wraparound services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing advocacy and support services to women affected by domestic violence
  • Representing clients in civil law matters and tribunals
  • Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver wraparound services
  • Undertaking outreach travel to remote communities
  • Assisting with logistics and delivery of community education events
  • Supporting and contributing to advocacy and community education
  • Maintaining records and compliance for regulatory obligations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A degree in a related field such as law or social work
  • Experience in civil law or social work
  • Understanding of domestic violence and trauma-informed practice
  • Knowledge of general civil law matters
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to professional ethics and confidentiality
