About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Student Wellbeing Specialist to join our Behaviour and Specialist Programs Team.

Role Overview

This permanent part-time position (0.7 FTE) is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to work in a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) model, providing high-level therapeutic case management and consultation to school teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work within a MTSS model to provide intensive support to students and their families.
  • Manage a caseload of varying degrees of complexity, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, psychologists, and social workers, to develop tier 3 behaviour plans.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to enhance student support.
  • Support leaders and staff to respond effectively to student risk.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated understanding of the mental health needs of children and young people, along with experience in complex case management and counselling families, children, and young people using evidence-based interventions.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a registered Psychologist or Social Worker.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Eligible for membership with Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) OR general registration as a psychologist with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance.
