Container Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Container Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, general repairs, and container upkeep, with a strong attention to detail and safety.
This role is responsible for the repair and maintenance of containers, as well as domestic and intermodal equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs on containers, domestic, and intermodal equipment.
- Select and work with appropriate materials for welding and fabrication tasks.
- Layout, cut, align, and fit components for welding and painting.
- Bolt, clamp, tack-weld, or otherwise secure parts in place for repair.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment to complete necessary repairs.
- Replace, repair, and install tire and wheel components as needed.
- Conduct general depot maintenance and assist with various repair duties.
- Perform sheet metal fabrication tasks and install/remove plywood flooring.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Prior experience in container repair or a similar mechanical/welding role.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in metal fabrication and repair.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor/industrial environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening.
