Chassis Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Chassis Technician to perform high-quality inspections, repairs, and maintenance on intermodal chassis. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of brake systems, lights, tires, and framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain intermodal chassis components, including braking systems, suspension systems, and structural components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs) and DOT inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Weld, cut, and fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs.
  • Document accurate repair records, work orders, and inspection forms.
  • Operate power tools, hand tools, and shop equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure timely and effective repairs.
Requirements:
  • Experience in chassis/trailer repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety features and regulatory requirements.
  • Basic welding skills preferred but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
