About This Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide companionship and support to elderly clients in the comfort of their own homes. This rewarding position requires a caring and compassionate nature, with a passion for engaging in friendly conversations and making a positive impact on people's lives.
Your Responsibilities
- Offer assistance with daily tasks including household chores, meal preparation, ironing, and laundry.
- Provide personal care services such as helping with dressing, grooming, showering, bathing, toileting, nutrition, and eating.
- Facilitate community access by transporting clients to appointments and activities.
- Engage in meaningful interactions with clients through conversation and socialization.
- Ensure client safety and comfort at all times.
- Report any changes or concerns to supervisors.
About You
We seek individuals who genuinely care about older people and are committed to their well-being. Our ideal candidate will have:
A qualification in aged care or individual support.Flexibility to work Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm.A valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 30 minutes to services.Current first aid, CPR, and police check certifications.Strong communication skills and a passion for engaging in conversation.Confidence to work independently.A caring and compassionate nature with a desire to make a positive impact.-
