Job Title:

Civil Infrastructure Designer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Civil Infrastructure Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing infrastructure projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake civil infrastructure designs, including road design, drainage design, and footpath design.
  • Prepare detailed costings and documentation to support design decisions.
  • Administer and estimate costs of projects.
  • Review forward planning documentation, investigation reports, and project design briefs associated with infrastructure design and project delivery.
  • Conduct field assessments, inspections, asset identification, and data collection activities onsite.
  • Present design information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain cooperative working relationships with internal clients.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering.
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Current WH&S Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).

Key Skills and Experience:
  • 5-8 years experience in Infrastructure design, including road design, drainage design, and footpath design.
  • Proficient computer systems knowledge and skills in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and similar road geometric design software.
  • Stormwater drainage design experience, including understanding of drainage network systems and software packages such as DRAINS or other relevant hydraulic programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current trends in Civil Engineering Design and Construction.
  • Sound interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate and facilitate meetings/discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
