Job Title: Building Maintenance Team Leader

 

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and participating in the day-to-day maintenance operations and leading a small team to ensure the property presents to a high standard and delivers exceptional guest experiences. This full-time role involves working Friday - Tuesday, and is an active, hands-on position in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining reliable and effective buildings, plant, and equipment in a safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensuring the efficient operation, repairs, maintenance, modification, and installation of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, fire systems, kitchen equipment, audio-visual, laundry, internal and external lighting, and other plant and equipment, as well as contractor management in buildings.
  • Leading a small team to promote a positive and safe team culture, overseeing effective performance management, and ensuring all maintenance tasks are efficiently planned, managed, and completed to a high standard.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum 2 years' experience as a trade-qualified technician (e.g., carpenter, electrician, plumber, HVAC).
  • Previous general repairs and maintenance experience in an integrated resort development or hotel/resort environment.
  • Operational knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, including repairs, maintenance, modification, and installation of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, fire systems, kitchen equipment, audio-visual, laundry, internal and external lighting, and other plant and equipment.
