About This Role

This is a unique opportunity to take control of your career and join our team as a Maintenance and Repair Coordinator. You will be responsible for overseeing and operating all facilities maintenance, repairs, and new rejuvenation and refits projects across our QLD and NSW stores, ensuring the highest standards and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintenance for stores, head office, and the warehouse, handling tasks independently with minimal outsourcing of trades.
  • Utilise organisational skills to coordinate repairs and maintenance requisitions, ensuring tasks are completed promptly, by you or contractors, to minimise disruptions to store operations.
  • Foster strong relationships with store personnel, providing regular updates and support throughout the maintenance process to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives by managing projects yourself or sourcing competitive quotes from suppliers and effectively managing project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently without compromising quality.
  • Oversee large-scale projects such as store fit outs and refits, demonstrating hands-on leadership and project management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in building, shopfitting, maintenance, and repair, demonstrating ability to be hands-on as well as lead and guide operational teams.
  • A trade qualification in Carpentry or a relevant discipline, showcasing technical expertise and ability to perform operational tasks.
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, Data and Networks, Fire Services, Plumbing and Electrical.
  • Exceptional communication skills enabling you to build rapport with stakeholders and deliver outstanding service.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making, allowing you to overcome challenges with creativity and confidence managing your day-to-day with autonomy.
  • A commitment to safety and compliance, with a sound understanding of building regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to travel frequently, often on short notice, to various locations across QLD and NSW for maintenance and emergency repairs and projects.
