Religious Education Specialist Role

The Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga is seeking an experienced Religious Education Specialist to lead the development and implementation of effective religious education programs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement religion-based educational content to foster spiritual growth and development in students
  • Lead and promote the mission and vision of Catholic Education through collaboration with teachers and staff
  • Skillfully integrate religion into the curriculum, promoting a comprehensive understanding of faith and learning
  • Coach and mentor teachers on best practices for teaching religion, enhancing pedagogy and student outcomes
  • Support senior leadership in achieving strategic goals related to student growth and learning

Requirements
  • A postgraduate degree in a relevant field, complementing initial teacher training
  • NESA Accreditation at Proficient Status or beyond, ensuring exceptional teaching expertise
  • Certification in Senior Leadership in a Catholic School (Category E), verifying leadership capabilities
  • A valid driver's license and current Working With Children Check, guaranteeing safety and reliability
  • Three professional references, including your current employer and parish priest, verifying your credibility and trustworthiness
