Riverina Hub Chaplain

About the Role:

As a key leader in our Chaplaincy and Pastoral Practice team, you will provide spiritual and pastoral care to staff and clients across our services. This role offers an opportunity to work in partnership with Presbyteries, Congregations, and the wider Church to bring the Synod's mission and ministry strategies to life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Spiritual Care: Reflecting the Uniting Church's faith and values, you will offer guidance, reconciliation, hope, and meaning in moments of suffering, crisis, and transition to clients, families, volunteers, and staff.
  • Lead Worship Services: You will lead worship and services, including Uniting liturgies, sacraments, ecumenical, and interfaith services, and coordinate visiting ministers where needed.
  • Support People in Need: You will provide support to individuals in times of need, offering hope, guidance, and meaning in moments of crisis and transition.
  • Develop Relationships: You will develop strong relationships with facility leaders, congregations, presbyteries, and volunteers to strengthen pastoral and spiritual services across our organization.
  • Lead and Support a Team: You will lead and support a Chaplaincy Hub team (where applicable), ensuring staff and volunteers are well-equipped, supported, and resourced to deliver high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the Wider Church: You will contribute to the wider Church by building effective partnerships across the Synod and promoting our organization as part of the Church's mission.
  • Foster a Safe Environment: You will foster a safe and inclusive environment, modeling best practice in work health and safety and celebrating diversity in all its forms.
  • Continuing Professional Growth: You will continue your professional and spiritual growth through ongoing education, training, and supervision.
