Support Specialist

This role provides an opportunity to work with young people who are engaged with the criminal justice system, providing them with the support and guidance they need to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist clients in developing skills necessary for goal achievement
- Provide assertive outreach services due to requirements of travel and intensive community work
- Submit weekly reports detailing client contact per week per client (maximum 5)
- Liaise with the Department of Youth Justice to provide casework support with participants
- Maintain accurate records of client folders and documents
- Contribute to the effective functioning and development of the service including WHS requirements
Requirements for Success:
- Experience working with young people with challenging behaviours
- Senior First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
- Current driver's license
- Knowledge of case management and issues surrounding homelessness and an understanding of the issues that impact on families
- High level confidence driving in a wide catchment area
