Compliance Professional Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned compliance professional to play a critical role in embedding and enhancing regulatory compliance capability across our company Divisions.

About the Role

This leadership opportunity involves supporting the implementation of our Compliance Strategy and standards, ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations and fostering a proactive risk culture.

The successful candidate will work closely with Business Unit leaders, risk management teams, and other stakeholders to provide pragmatic compliance advice, design and implement effective controls, and monitor adherence to internal and external compliance requirements.

This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance is owned and managed at the source, strengthening the control environment, and driving continuous improvement in compliance practices.

  • Contribute to risk-in-change assessments, support governance and training initiatives, and lead the implementation of remedial actions to uplift compliance maturity across the Group.
  • Mentor junior compliance professionals and collaborate across the three lines of defence to deliver best-practice compliance outcomes.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need deep expertise in regulatory frameworks and risk management, ideally within financial services.

You should have a strong understanding of relevant regulatory bodies, such as APRA and ASIC, and a proven track record in designing and implementing effective compliance controls.

Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will enable you to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, business-aligned solutions.

As a clear and persuasive communicator, you'll be capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders across all levels, and your ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver actionable insights will make you a trusted advisor within the business.

A bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field is essential, and professional certifications such as AACI or ACI 10980NAT will be highly regarded.

Experience with compliance monitoring tools, systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office will support your success in this role.

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance your well-being, provide financial security, and foster a sense of community and inclusion.

Some of the fantastic perks you can enjoy as part of our team include flexible working arrangements, discounted financial products, salary sacrificing options, paid parental leave, purchase additional annual leave, and access to employee network groups.
