Lead Data Engineer Opportunity

This is a senior data engineering position that requires expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end data analytical solutions.

About the Role
  • This role will drive change and make a significant impact in the gaming industry by leading the design and implementation of data analytics solutions using Microsoft on-premises and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with clients to elicit requirements for data analytical solutions and develop innovative analytical solutions using Microsoft relational engines, NoSQL offerings, and data lake technologies.
  2. Develop and mentor junior team members in data engineering best practices, including knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in data engineering.
  3. Maintain governance over Azure-based analytical solutions, including metadata management and security.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience as a data engineer with strong understanding of analytical architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data lakehouses.
  • Experience with Microsoft relational engines, including MS SQL Server and Azure SQL, as well as knowledge of query and workload optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Hadoop ecosystems, including Hive, Spark, and Kafka, and experience with Azure Functions, Stream Analytics, and PolyBase.
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling and ETL patterns, as well as experience with PowerBI, SSRS, and Snowflake.
  • Desirable skills include MSc in Computer Science or relevant field, familiarity with Azure Databricks, DataOps, Azure Cognitive Services, and containerization tools.
