About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our data architecture strategy. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, modular data architectures across multiple platforms.

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and growth within our organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data-driven solutions that support business objectives.

  • Data Architecture: Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.
  • Innovation: Manage the innovation pipeline and execute innovation processes.
  • Specialist Advice: Provide detailed and specific advice regarding data to the organization's planning and operations.
  • Strategic Planning: Collate information and create reports and insights to support strategy management processes.
  • Relationship Management: Provide insight into problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information.
About You

We are looking for an individual with Enterprise Data Architecture experience and strong understanding of data architecture standards and methodologies, as well as modern data management.

To be successful in this role, you will have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with strong customer focus and ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, and resolve conflicts.

  • The ability to analyse and understand end-to-end data lifecycles across an enterprise and the platforms involved and conceptualise alternatives.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of designing scalable, modular data architectures across multiple platforms. Experience with Salesforce and/or SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise data governance and master data with a focus on system data mastering.
  • Desirable: Familiarity with the retail IT environment and the associated business-technology issues, ideally in a large corporate environment.
