Parking Manager Job Description

Job Summary

The Parking Manager will play a key role in the strategic planning and implementation of sustainable initiatives in relation to parking. Located in the Corporate portfolio within the Facilities and Services Division, the Parking Manager will be responsible for the management of parking administrative services, compliance with the Parking & Traffic Statute and other relevant legislation, and parking availability and enforcement within car parks across the Acton campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage parking administrative services, including compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Develop and implement sustainable parking initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of parking operations.
  • Collaborate with Transport Canberra to integrate alternative transport methods and improve parking availability.
  • Lead a parking administrative team and ensure the efficient and effective management of day-to-day operations.
  • Provide strategic advice on parking processes to deliver outcomes that meet the objectives and business requirements of the Division and the University.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Knowledge of parking and traffic legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
