The University of New South Wales is seeking an experienced Administrator to join the Specialist Administrative Support unit. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, data analysis skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
This Administrator position involves managing administrative processes and tasks across multiple faculties, ensuring compliance with university guidelines and policies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, including heads of schools, directors, and sessional academics, to provide effective support and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective channels of communication, analysing requests, and correspondence, prioritising effectively, and handling sensitive matters appropriately.
- Ensure all administrative processes and tasks are compliant with university guidelines while contributing to the development and implementation of faculty-wide policy, procedures, systems, and alert on significant issues.
- Coordinate with schools and central teams on term planning, timetabling, academic workload planning, room allocations, and other faculty-wide specialist administrative tasks.
- Deliver accurate and timely execution of tasks related to sessional academic administration processes from contracting to payment.
- Coordinate the timely, accurate, and consistent maintenance of CTP entries and reports, ensuring compliance across the faculty and aligned with approved plans.
- Support the design and implementation of new administrative processes or system improvement initiatives under the direction of the SAS Manager and Administration Officer.
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
- Advanced time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to apply, interpret, and advise on policies, procedures, or systems across varying tasks with high levels of compliance required.
- Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in an administrative environment, with the ability to investigate operational issues and suggest improvements to procedures for increased efficiency.
