Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in developing and maintaining complex models for forecasting electricity demand and optimising asset dispatch.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, statistical modelling or quantitative analysis and experience with energy market modelling, forecasting or asset optimisation techniques.

You will be responsible for analysing large datasets from internal systems and external sources to uncover trends and opportunities, collaborating with commercial, engineering and operations teams to support decision-making with data-driven insights and designing and implementing predictive diagnostics and machine learning algorithms to optimise asset performance and market participation.

In addition, you will be expected to communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders through clear visualisations and reports and stay abreast of emerging technologies and asset management diagnostics in the energy sector.

About This Role
  • Develop and maintain complex models for forecasting electricity demand and optimising asset dispatch.
  • Analyse large datasets from internal systems and external sources to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with commercial, engineering and operations teams to support decision-making with data-driven insights.
  • Design and implement predictive diagnostics and machine learning algorithms to optimise asset performance and market participation.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders through clear visualisations and reports.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and asset management diagnostics in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities

This role requires a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills. You should have a degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or a related field and be proficient in Python, R or similar analytical tools.

  • Proven experience in data science, statistical modelling or quantitative analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience with energy market modelling, forecasting or asset optimisation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
