We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in short term energy forecasting.

About the Role

The role is responsible for managing operational forecasting models for electricity demand, rooftop PV, grid-scale solar farms and wind farms. You will work closely with our weather providers and control rooms to translate weather risks into system impacts.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data analysis processes and tools to support operational forecasting.
  • Analyse weather data and its impact on the power system.
  • Collaborate across teams and markets to align tools and data between the NEM and WEM.
  • Contribute insights into operational advisories, power system incident reviews and market reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, mathematics or a related statistical discipline.
  • Experience in the energy sector or a similar industry, preferably in an operations or analytical role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and statistical modelling techniques.
