Job Description

As an Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the verification and validation of completed builds, managing engineering activities, and ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This includes developing and executing V&V plans, monitoring progress, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, conducting inspections and assessments, and engaging in problem-solving activities.

  • Lead and coordinate verification and validation activities for completed rolling stock builds.
  • Develop and execute V&V plans in compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.
  • Monitor engineering activities and report on progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including design, production, and quality.
  • Conduct inspections, assessments, and documentation reviews to ensure build compliance.
  • Engage in problem-solving activities and support issue resolution workstreams.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Significant experience in rolling stock and railway engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in verification and validation activities.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards applicable to railway systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities within tight timelines and dynamic environments.
