Technical Leadership Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced leader to manage automation at our new distribution centre. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of driving results and outcomes across functional performance, production and productivity rates, throughput and capacity maximisation, reliability and uptime.

About the Role
  • Lead the overall automation performance of the distribution centre
  • Develop system performance metrics and ensure automation is performing in line with functional outcomes, capabilities, and throughput/capacity requirements
  • Participate in system testing, DILOS, operational readiness, and commissioning activities
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives through leadership of supplier relationships, improved operational practices, and business process changes that enhance safety, customer satisfaction, and efficiency
  • Liaise with internal and external technical stakeholders in the ongoing optimisation and enhancement of processing equipment, control systems, and system functionality
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a technical leadership role working with order processing and manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities with advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and modelling
  • Deep understanding of process, material flows, optimisation, and enhancement of processing equipment and technical processes
  • A thorough understanding of safety protocols and risk management, with a commitment to ensuring safety is embedded in all aspects of operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
