Job Title

Quality Manager

This role involves leading site compliance, maintaining and extending NATA accreditation, managing audits, developing and monitoring quality, safety, and environmental systems, overseeing LIMS development and rollout, and coordinating new projects as directed by the GM.

The position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a NATA accredited multi-laboratory facility servicing regional Australia.

  • Become the resident expert on all things NATA, TGA, and Safety
  • Maintaining existing accreditations for the site and specific tests
  • Drive compliance and achieve NATA accreditation for additional tests targeted by the GM
  • Coordinate NATA/TGA/safety training
About Quality Management

Your duties would include but not be limited to:

NATA

  • Ensuring strict adherence to NATA, TGA, and safety regulations
  • Managing internal audits and management reviews to ensure consistent quality and safety standards
  • Investigating and addressing any issues or complaints related to the quality of laboratory services

Quality & Safety Systems

  • Collaborating with Lab Managers to ensure a consistent approach across all labs
  • Developing and implementing quality and safety policies and procedures
  • Monitoring and improving processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness

LIMS System

  • Developing and implementing the entire LIMS system in coordination with the IT and Business Systems Officer
  • Coordinating rollout of the system for every lab in collaboration with Lab Managers
  • Monitoring training and actively addressing problems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Ideally a science degree or similar (not essential)
  • NATA training and internal auditor training
  • Experience in a similar role ensuring NATA compliance
  • Commercial laboratory or NATA lab experience
  • LIMS experience or similar
  • Internal audits experience
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence others to drive system consistency
