Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the laboratory's quality management systems are compliant with NATA requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site compliance, maintaining and extending NATA accreditation, managing audits, developing and monitoring quality, safety, and environmental systems, overseeing LIMS development and rollout, and coordinating new projects as directed by the General Manager.

  • Become the resident expert on all things NATA, TGA, and Safety
  • Maintaining existing accreditations for the site and specific tests
  • Drive compliance and achieve NATA accreditation for additional tests targeted by the GM
  • Coordinate NATA/TGA/safety training


Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with Lab Managers to ensure a consistent approach across all labs
  • Planning, training, and coordinating internal audits, management reviews, incident reports, and continual improvement across all labs
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in laboratory quality management & legal compliance for quality/safety/TGA/NATA
  • Investigating and addressing any issues or complaints related to the quality of laboratory services


Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Ideal qualifications include a science degree or similar
  • NATA training and internal auditor training
  • Experience in a similar role ensuring NATA compliance
  • Commercial laboratory or NATA lab experience
  • LIMS experience or similar
  • Internal audits experience
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence others to drive system consistency
