Job Overview
Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced Strategic Business Leader to join our Investment Banking team in Sydney. As a key member of the APAC region, you will play a crucial role in driving operational efficiency and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with business and functional partners to achieve superior business performance and results. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting market share competitive analysis and ad-hoc analytics to inform business decisions.
  • Leading various strategic initiatives and internal management meetings to drive growth and improvement.
  • Preparing and interpreting strategic & financial reports that combine all aspects of the business.
  • Assisting with annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Managing content for Investment Banking leadership strategy sessions.
  • Taking the lead on implementing compliance protocols and internal audit remediations.
  • Supporting the business on compliance and adherence to regulatory obligations.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • 8+ years of business management experience in a financial institution.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Dealogic, Acrobat, etc.
  • Project management mind-set and can-do approach.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Comfort and confidence interacting with Senior Leaders and management.
  • Detail oriented and analytical, excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and function collaboratively in a team.
