We are seeking a senior compliance professional to join our organisation. This role requires working at least two to three days a week in the office.

As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CPS 511, you will develop, monitor and enhance frameworks and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will provide broader support for all compliance processes and activities across the scope of the Regulatory Governance Office.

  • CPS 511 expertise and implementation: Serve as the SME and leader for CPS 511 compliance across the organisation, including:
    • CPS 511 framework: Lead the design, development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of CPS 511 compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
    • Remuneration frameworks and policies: Collaborate with the People and Culture team to design remuneration frameworks that are structured in accordance with the principles of CPS 511, including appropriate risk management measures.
    • CPS 511 risk management and governance: Collaborate with the People and Culture team to ensure executive remuneration is structured and reviewed in a way that promotes alignment with regulatory intent.
  • Compliance monitoring: Monitor and maintain compliance with CPS 511 by reviewing, tracking and reporting key compliance metrics and evidence to senior management.
  • Reporting: Design, manage and deliver robust reporting to ensure transparency, with timely identification of any gaps or non-compliance in the remuneration and governance frameworks.
  • Broad compliance support: Provide execution support for the establishment, implementation and ongoing maintenance of FAR and Fit and Proper processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to manage alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Benchmarking and continuous improvement: Continuously benchmark current practices against industry standards and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement in governance, compliance processes and risk management.

Requirements include:

  • Deep experience in regulatory compliance or governance, preferably within a financial services organisation
  • Experience in interpreting regulation and drafting formal corporate documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to develop detailed knowledge of business processes
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage deliverables to tight deadlines
  • Senior specialist level interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication
  • Strong technical skills in regulatory/legal and compliance
