Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and review advanced financial models covering project economics, capital structures, and investment returns. This involves developing complex spreadsheets that forecast cash flows and assess the viability of renewable energy projects.
  2. Support debt and equity financing processes by engaging directly with banks, investors, and advisors. Effective communication and negotiation skills are crucial in this role.
  3. Develop high-quality investment papers, board presentations, and financial analyses to support senior decision-making. Strong analytical and presentation skills are required to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
  4. Conduct due diligence on new developments, acquisitions, and joint ventures. This involves researching and analyzing market trends, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.
  5. Assess M&A and partnership opportunities, including valuations and risk-return considerations. A deep understanding of financial markets and investment strategies is essential in this role.
  6. Monitor industry, regulatory, and policy trends shaping the energy transition. Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the renewable energy sector is critical for success in this position.
  7. Collaborate with technical, legal, and commercial teams on transactions and project financing. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are vital in this role.
  8. Provide oversight and mentorship to junior team members where needed. Experienced professionals in this field can serve as valuable mentors and guides for early-career professionals.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in corporate finance, investment banking, infrastructure advisory, or energy/renewables.
  2. Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise, including DCF, project finance, IRR/NPV, and scenario planning.
  3. Exposure to capital raising, transaction execution, and stakeholder management. The ability to navigate complex financial deals and negotiate with various stakeholders is critical in this role.
  4. Knowledge of energy markets, project development, or infrastructure deals is an advantage. Professionals with experience in these areas can bring valuable insights and expertise to the table.
