Renewable Energy Finance Leader

Drive strategic financial planning and operational excellence across Australian operations for a leading renewable energy platform.

This organisation is at the forefront of the energy transition with a multi-gigawatt pipeline of solar, BESS, and hybrid developments.

As a strategic finance leader, you will work closely with the CEO and executive team to scale operations, optimise financial performance, and support complex project financing and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all core finance functions: financial control, reporting, tax, treasury, audit and compliance
  • Oversee capital strategy, including project financing, debt structuring and equity management
  • Manage risk frameworks, forecasting, budgeting and long-term business planning
  • Support M&A activity and drive value creation across new and existing assets
  • Engage with stakeholders, board members and external parties
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of ~20 across several finance sub-functions
  • Align finance and HR-related strategy around organisational growth and workforce planning

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in senior financial leadership roles, ideally within energy, infrastructure or other capital-intensive sectors
  • Deep knowledge of Australian corporate and tax regulations, IFRS and multi-entity structures
  • Proven experience in complex project finance, treasury and capital markets
  • Background in Big 4 advisory, audit or transaction services preferred
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including board-level communication
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with a hands-on, pragmatic leadership style
