Job Responsibilities
  • Develop mine engineering standards to optimize performance and ensure long-term viability.
  • Lead by example, promoting adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage inspection protocols, communication strategies, and reporting processes.
  • Cultivate relationships with statutory authorities and industry representatives as required.
  • Build positive working relationships within site teams.
Requirements
  • NW S Mining Engineering Manager Certificate (or equivalent).
  • At least 10 years of experience in mining, with 3+ years in underground longwall mining.
  • 5+ years of operational management and supervisory roles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or related field (desirable).
  • Valid NSW explosive security clearance (formerly UHL) (desirable).
  • Current Australian driver's license.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Experience in strategic growth initiatives would be highly valued.
