About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Education Specialist to lead our Toddler Room at a well-established privately run centre in Paddington/Centennial Park, NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum for toddlers, fostering a love of learning and exploration.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of educators, promoting a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
  • Plan and organize age-appropriate activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Monitor children's progress and behaviour, communicating effectively with parents and carers.
  • Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution, promoting emotional intelligence and well-being.
  • Create a stimulating environment that promotes creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety in the toddler room, maintaining high standards of hygiene and environmental sustainability.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.

Our centre is a beautiful federation home providing a real sense of community and belonging for all children, families, and team members. We offer a 4-day working week if desired, and competitive above-award salary.

Requirements
  • Diploma in ECE or equivalent qualification, demonstrating your expertise in early childhood education.
  • Knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Standards, ensuring you stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, guaranteeing your ability to respond in emergency situations.
  • Valid Working with Children Check and current child protection training, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
  • Two professional references, verifying your experience and qualifications.
