Nurse Educator

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with extensive medical experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for education and delivering high-quality patient care to join our Education Team at Hobart Private Hospital.
As a Nurse Educator - Clinical Development, you will play a key role in ensuring the planning, development, and teaching of nursing education courses/programs at the hospital are well thought out and executed. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering nursing education courses/programs within the hospital's medical ward
- Providing hands-on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation and orientation to all staff, with a focus on graduate nurses & students
- Promoting a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge
- Supervising staff compliance to annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components
- Ensuring best practice competency-based programs are available and assessment of staff competencies are provided for all medical ward staff
- Working with the Medical Ward NUM and executive team members to prioritize departmental education requirements

Hobart Private Hospital is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds co-located with the Royal Hobart Hospital in the heart of the city. We provide Emergency Services, Angiography and Cardiac Services, Maternity, Medical, Surgical, Day Surgery, and Endoscopy.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with Current AHPRA Registration
- Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (or similar, working towards)
- Minimum of 3 years medical ward nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platform
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope - Tasmania - Nurses and Midwives Enterprise Agreement, a salary rate of $58.35 per hour.
