Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at the Tasmania Government. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a critical role in facilitating and supporting the educational needs and development of our District Hospitals workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Educational Programs

Design, plan, and implement educational activities and programs to ensure they align with the educational plan and needs of our Agency and District Hospitals workforce.

Promote Evidence-Based Practices

Encourage and facilitate the advancement of evidence-based practices within the clinical practice setting, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Lead Practice Development

Work within a practice development framework that fosters research, the implementation of evidence-based knowledge, person-centred and consumer-directed care, and supports the development of our clinical leaders.

Support Transition and Development Programs

Incorporate activities associated with transition programs, clinical practice placement programs, and professional development programs to recognize the requirements of different clinical settings.

Collaborate with Clinical Leadership Team

Function effectively as a member of the clinical leadership team within the clinical practice setting, contributing to the development of our workforce and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse

Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

Current Driver's Licence

Hold a current Driver's Licence.

Registration to Work with Vulnerable People

Meet the requirements for Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).

Desirable Criteria
  • Postgraduate Qualifications

Hold, or be working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications.
