Join a team of experienced HVAC professionals as an HVAC Controls Engineer.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HVAC Controls Technician based in Brisbane. This is a mid-senior level full-time position within our management and manufacturing department.

You will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, validation and commissioning of existing installed base of building automation systems utilizing knowledge of direct digital controls (DDC), airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory and applied control strategies.

Your key responsibilities will include troubleshooting, repairs, quoting remedial works and ongoing planned maintenance. You will represent the company by serving as the direct customer contact and is responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned tasks, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, quoting, repairing equipment and systems at customer's location.

You will work autonomously and within a broader team environment, fostering and maintaining professional working relationships amongst Customers, Colleagues, and peers. You will continually enforce safety to the highest corporate and legislative standards.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnosis and repair: Utilize your technical knowledge to diagnose and repair issues with building automation systems.
  • Maintenance and servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks to ensure optimal performance of building automation systems.
  • Customer service: Represent the company by providing excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve common goals and objectives.
Required skills and qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience: In the relevant industry, with a focus on HVAC controls and building automation systems.
  • Trade qualification: In a relevant trade, such as electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Technical knowledge: Of building automation systems, including DDC, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory and applied control strategies.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Safety awareness: A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
