Strategic Leadership and Operational Excellence

The role of Demand Management and Logistics - Nurse Manager 4, Targeted, plays a pivotal part in driving patient flow, innovation, and system performance across John Hunter Hospital.

About the Position
  • This key leadership position leads a dedicated team in delivering initiatives that enhance patient experience and outcomes, improve access to care through efficient flow and discharge planning, support alternative care models and innovative service delivery, and embed sustainable improvement aligned with our hospital's strategic goals.

As a senior leader, you will coach and mentor staff, drive redesign and improvement projects, and ensure our services meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

About You

You are a dynamic leader with a strong background in nursing management, project delivery, and clinical redesign. You thrive in complex, high-volume environments and can balance strategic vision with operational excellence. You'll bring strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to influence change and deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Demand Management and Logistics Service during a major hospital redevelopment to drive patient flow, innovation, and system performance.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience and outcomes, and increase access to care through efficient flow and discharge planning.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative care models and services that meet the needs of patients and stakeholders.
  4. Ensure seamless integration of logistics and supply chain operations to support patient care and hospital operations.
