Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse/Midwife to fill the role of Clinical Coordinator Infection Prevention and Management. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the implementation of evidence-based infection prevention strategies across our health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and support to staff on infection prevention and control practices
  • Develop and implement infection prevention strategies that align with national standards and guidelines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and mitigate infection risks
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection prevention policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers and community groups
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Graduate Diploma or equivalent in a relevant specialty area
  • Proven experience in infection prevention and control, preferably in a remote or rural setting
  • Ability to travel to remote communities by 4WD and light aircraft
