Job Description

The role of Senior Buyer is a key position in our organization, responsible for developing and implementing local procurement category strategies. This includes facilitating strategy development and execution, sourcing, and supplier partnership for a designated portfolio.

As a Senior Buyer, you will be expected to execute procurement category strategy project pipeline, including creation of sourcing strategies, internal needs assessment, market assessment, management of sourcing events (RfX), leading negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting/contract approval cycles.

You will also be responsible for building and maintaining market intelligence to understand cost drivers, inflation development, market dynamics, and opportunities for innovation or other business benefit.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a similar Senior Buyer role, preferably within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Experience in managing commercial, IT and corporate services.
  • Tertiary qualified, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and business procurement systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, confident in problem-solving, with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
