Yardsperson - QCoal Operations

Thiess is seeking an experienced Yards Person for a permanent employment opportunity at our QCoal Northern Hub Project.
This role reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and involves collaborating towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.
Key Responsibilities- Tractor slashing, whipper snipping, and poisoning entrances, workshop compounds, and go-line crib huts
- Tidy up bunding around workshop compounds
- Straightening and cleaning workshop compound signage
- Making new signage and repairing old, damaged signage for production
- General building maintenance such as windows, doors, water leaks, etc.
- Assisting HV Electrician's with aircon installs, etc.
- Delivering SOS samples to the post office
- Franna/IT loader operations around site (desirable)
- General T/A duties with the stores
- Concreting and minor road repairs
- Cleaning out sumps
- Weekly water treatment plant inspection/service
- Pest control around workshop compounds and go-line crib huts
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience working in an open-cut mining environment (highly desirable)
- Franna/IT loader RII's (highly desirable)
- Driver's license
- Standard 11
As a Thiess employee, you can expect:
